Having attended the #aamaustin I can tell you there was a lot of good information presented on Twitter and other social media tools. What is missing is the connection between the tools and how accounting firms leverage the tool to increase branding, leverage their niches and idenitify new buisness. We are working on developing a clear set of benefits that appeal to the more progressive accounting partners. I think the reality is certain CPA's will take a longer period than others to make the leap:)

Hi, yes you always get early-adopters and others who take a bit longer to warm to new concepts in any new branch of online technology. We've been hearing for years now about how Twitter is a fabulous business tool, but as you say, not so many people know how to connect the dots. Time for an info package I think. :)

You are right on the money here. I am working on some article series explaining how and why Twitter is valuable for CPA firms. If you look at the world from their perspective it is something they need to spend time on and if they do, it is important they understand the end benefit...if not it will not happen. Overall, I think early adopters will benefit the most from this tool when/if they implement it correctly.
